Skin problem or illness?

Question: I have some red rashes on the testicles, sometimes it’s itchy. The rashes are located on veins of the scrotum area. Is it some kind of skin problem or illness? I read about varicocele/ testicular torsion/ scrotal mass from the internet, where should I go for some checking?
The scrotum supports the testes. The scrotal skin is made up of specialized non-drying type of thin skin, layered with smooth muscles and veins and arteries. The skin of the scrotum is usually darker than the surrounding skin around the genital and this is due to the high content of melanin, the coloring materials of the skin cells. Considering the scrotum maintains the temperature regulation of the testis, it sometimes relax and sometimes contract. The scrotal skin can become dry if the natural moisturizer is washed away or if the skin is irritated. Scratching causes the skin to rash and sometimes the thin veins and arteries are dilated to cause angioma. These are harmless. If your scrotal skin is dry, do apply some moisturizer after bath. Use boxer shorts so that your scrotal skin is well aired. If you have any doubts about your scrotum and its skin, you should get yourself examined by a doctor.

2. HPV is the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection.
3. There are over 100 types of HPV viruses, and of them, 30 can be passed on sexually.
4. HPV can cause warts in or around the genitals, but many people with HPV never experience any symptoms at all.
5. There are about 13 different strains of HPV that may cause cervical cancer.
6. Genital herpes is caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) or type 2 (HSV-2). Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2 and is more common in women (1 out of 4) than in men (1 out of 8).

My first night with my husband, I did not bleed at all

Question
I was a virgin until my wedding day. The problem is on my first night with my husband, I did not bleed at all. Now my husband is having doubts about my virginity. Why did this happen and how can I convince my husband that I’m not lying to him?

Pure, Terengganu
Answer:
It is sad to know that at this modern time we still have men who are ignorant about the meaning of virginity. Virginity is a status and not a thing. That piece of thin flesh that covers the vaginal entrance, the so-called hymen may be present and may not be present naturally and even if it is present it can remain so even after sexual penetration if it is elastic and therefore is not a sign of virginity. A tear in the vaginal entrance or a tear of the hymen may be caused by a penetrating injury and not necessarily caused buy an erect penis if the woman claims so. Therefore the question of virginity does not arise if the woman insists she has not had penetrative sex with a man. The issue here is plain trust! Furthermore there is no reason for the woman to bleed if she relaxes her well lubricated vaginal entrance to accommodate the erect penis and more so if the penis is miniscule. Grow up man !

When does one resume their menstrual cycle after an abortion?

Original Question:
When does one resume their menstrual cycle after an abortion?

Answer:
When a child is lost before the woman enters her 20th week of pregnancy, it is termed as a ‘miscarriage’ or ‘spontaneous abortion’. Mostly, miscarriage occurs when the pregnancy is about 12 weeks old. But because miscarriage, whether it is spontaneous or induced, it is a disturbing time for the woman, both physically and emotionally, it may take time for the menstrual cycle to normalize. In some women, it may stabilize soon after the miscarriage, while in others it may take a longer time. On an average, the menstrual cycle is restored between 4-6 weeks of a miscarriage. Resumption of the menstrual cycle also depends on how old the pregnancy was before the miscarriage occurred.Rarely if the woman has breast secretion( milky or watery secretion, medically known as galactorrhea), resumption of menstrual flow is even longer. This might be due to the presence of high concentration of hormone Prolactin that interferes with the menstrual rythm.Once the Prolactin level is normal, menstruation will take place.

When Sex Hurts

  1. How does lack of sexual arousal happen?
Lack of sexual arousal occurs when the mind is not ready, the sex hormones are down and the sex organs are not responding.
  2. Is it possible to feel painful even if the man/woman is sexually aroused?
For the guys tight foreskin can cause pain during penetration and for the girls if they do not relax the pelvic floor muscle to allow the vagina to accommodate the penis, penile penetration can cause pain to the vaginal entrance.
  3. Why does an intercourse feel painful when the person isn’t sexually aroused?
When the guy is not sexually aroused his erection is not firm enough and trying to do the penetration can be uncomfortable because the penis will bend, especially if the vaginal entrance is tight and not well lubricated which can make intercourse painful for the woman as well.
  4. How common is it among men and women? Should they tell their partners?
If sex is painful and uncomfortable for either party, this needs to be mentioned so that it can be remedied.
  5. How can a woman overcome this problem? Any self-help solutions?
If attempt at intercourse is painful to the woman she must remember to relax her pelvic floor muscle and if there is problem of lubrication she might need to use lubricating gel until she is confident after which she can cease using the gel.
  6. What if these tips don’t help? What can they do?
If this simple tip does not help they might need counselling. Maybe they need to see their GP or a sex therapist
  7. How can a GP help?
The GP will help them to understand their genital anatomy and in the case of the female partner teach her to know her pelvic floor muscles so that she can train to relax that muscle to facilitate penis penetration and accommodation. The GP can prescribe medication to reduce anxiety if that is necessary.
  8. Will a sex therapist help? How?
The sex therapist can provide the same counselling except that they cannot prescribe medicines.

Vaginal inflammation

Original Question:
Masalah saya ialah
a.Vagina saya mengeluarkan cecair kekuningan dan berbau hanyir.
b.Vagina saya mengalami masalah kekeringan dan apabila melakukan perhubungan intim, saya akan merasa sakit

Bagaimana cara untuk saya mengatasi masalah ini. Terima Kasih.

Jawapan Soalan:

Answer:
Vaginal secretions are usually watery, colourless and odourless unless the vaginal secretions were due to vaginal inflammation caused by infections. If the vaginal secretions are yellowish there is a strong possibility the secretions contains pus cells and bacteria. You need to seek medical assistance and need to be examined if the vaginal secretions contain infections. Appropriate treatment will be provided by the doctor once the infection has been identified.
Inflammation of the vaginal mucosa affect the proper function of the mucosa and will interfere with the production of natural lubrication and affect sexual intimacies. Once the vaginal problems are overcome then the situation will be resolved. Meanwhile it is recommended to use vaginal lubricants and examples of such lubricants are in this web.

How to bend my penis to upward not downward?

Question:
Dr, can you give me an advice for me to bend my penis to upward not downward? Because my penis cannot straight upward and short. Please help me doctor.

Answer:
The human penis in a non erect state appears small and tipped downwards. When fully erect it tipped upwards when the pelvic muscles are fully contract, or it bend downwards if the tip is heavier or the pelvic muscles are not firmly contracted. The purpose of the erection is for vaginal penetration and if the position of the erect penis does not interfere with this then there is no issue. If the penis size in the erected state is an issue, placing it upwards or downwards will not influence its size. Considering the shape and size of the penis is related to the owners genes and ethnicity then that dimension must be right for him and his female partner unless the penis is really small and in the case he might need to get his penis examined and get medical advice. Besides surgical procedure to enhance penis shape and size through Augmentation Phalloplasty that may need a plastic surgeon consultation, he might want to check on this penis extension device called the Andropenis. This device has been evaluated and found to be very penis friendly. You might want to try using this device before going for something serious. You can view information about the Andropenis device in the website www.andromedical.com

For use with a condom:
A little lube can be added to the outside of the condoms just before insertion. A little lube/gel should also be applied to the clitoris and outer and inner labia of the receptive partner before penetration. The use of a condom usually requires a small increase in the amount of lubricant used.
